The benefits of shrimp meal
Chitin and micronutrients found in the shrimp shell nourish the soil and stimulate microbial life. It can:
encourage root growth;
correct micronutrient deficiencies in the soil;
help restore soil’s fertility and water retention capacity;
fertilize faster than bone meal.
To prepare new gardens, apply 2 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of soil. For new transplants, add 1-2 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well. To feed established plants, laightly mix 1-2 tbsp per galon into the soil surface once every month during grow season.
